Healthy Kid’s Super Smoothie

smoothiesKids need lots of essential nutrients for growth and development and it’s not always easy to get all of them in each day. This smoothie provides a solution where you can pack a variety of important nutrients such as omega-3 fats, probiotics, vitamins, minerals, and other health-promoting compounds into delicious drinks that kids are sure to enjoy. Try all 3 varieties and then experiment with swapping out different fruits and veggies!

Berry Booster

  • 1 cup Redwood Hill Farm cultured goat's milk kefir (plain)
  • 3/4 tsp Green Pastures fermented cod liver oil (Unflavored)
  • 1/4 cup organic blueberries
  • 1/4 cup organic strawberries
  • 1/2 ripe banana

Blend the ingredients in a Vitamix or high-powered blender and garnish with a strawberry.

Chocolatey Champ

Blend the ingredients in a Vitamix or high-powered blender and garnish with a sprinkle of cacao powder, a square of dark chocolate or a dollop of all-natural almond or peanut butter (if no nut allergies are present).

Cinnamon Apple

  • 1 cup Redwood Hill Farm cultured goat's milk kefir (plain)
  • 3/4 tsp Green Pastures fermented cod liver oil (Cinnamon Tingle Flavor)
  • 1 small apple (ideally sweet versions such as Fuji, Pinklady, Honeycrisp)
  • 1/2 ripe banana

Blend the ingredients in a Vitamix or high-powered blender and garnish with a sprinkle of cinnamon.
